Our boy is 2.5, and this book is really great! It was a fantastic support to teach him safety in the streets. He loves to read it. I strongly recommend it. We don't read exactly all the sentences, we adapt what we tell him to his level of understanding. Illustrations are very explicit and well drowned!
I bought this book to teach roadway safety to kindergarteners. I don't really know if there IS a fun way to teach safety. However, this book does a good job telling kids how to be careful around roads and why it's not safe to run out into traffic, how to cross at crosswalks, etc. Pictures are age level appropriate, so I would recommend it.
Good book for explaining traffic safety to little ones. It's a cute story, and my 3 year old grandson loved it.
These "WATCH OUT" books are wonderful teaching books for children. My girls are 7 and 11 years old. Illustrations shows both positive and negative points on the subject. I highly recommend them as gifts for anyone you care about.

Paddy Armstrong is a native of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Everyone knows Paul Hill and Gerry Conlon when you think of the Guildford Four. They became crusaders for the falsely accused and global injustice. I always wondered about Paddy Armstrong and even more Carole Richardson. Wonderful to see how Paddy has adjusted to a great life after his incarceration. His continuing love for Carole Richardson screams out from the pages. She in my view was the biggest victim of all. Seventeen years old...English and with the most rock solid alibi (she was at a concert and actually had a photo taken backstage with the band), her tragic story is the most heartbreaking of this tragedy. There is a special place in hell for the police in Surrey who were responsible. Rip Gerry and Carole. Thank you Paddy for this poignant remembrance. May God Bless the Innocent and May the Guilty be Brought to Justice.

Lyons' deep love for both the prophets and textual analysis/comparison are unavoidably contagious to the reader. The work itself surpasses the mere "introduction" as it is described by helping the reader to get a deeper understanding of the context of the book of Ezekiel (even dabbling into the psychological and anthropological relevance to the exiles themselves). Lyons helps the reader see the distinction between the various target audiences for the book, going from its original recipients of the sign-acts themselves, to the written text we find in our Bibles today. Lyons also demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of the scholarship on Ezekiel by juxtaposing various interpretations of key themes and passages that are not widely agreed upon and exposing the stances that are most likely accurate from a textual standpoint. Overall, I highly recommend this book and guarantee that you will both learn and laugh throughout the pages.

If the decision is between this and the Project Nomad guide, please opt for this one. It still doesn't compare to better guide companies, but I think it's enough for a few days in the beautiful city of Kiev, especially when the number of guides is lacking. There is a good amount of honest practical information on topics like taxis and shopping. A lot of the guide is dedicated to sample itineraries for exploring the city, which having come back from Kiev, were actually pretty useful with one's own adjustments according to personal taste. Don't expect tons on restaurants/accommodations but I don't really use guidebooks for that when online resources are usually more useful.
I am very familiar with Kiev and several of the attractions and restaurants this short book recommends. Very good at transportation issues as well. Highly recommended.

What is up with this world?! It reveals information hidden in seems at the time unimportant objects and words, then when you figure it out with the kids, it just teases you. Salivating for more information, it is a real page turner. The artwork is amazing! And each kid offers something to table, a reason to like it dislike them. Can't wait for the next volume and anime adaptation.

This story is so enchanting in the way that it takes you into the story. The story itself is great the artistic drawing and facial characteristic are exceptional.
Really recommend this series to anyone who liked the liar game series. Cerebral but action packed, it won't disappoint you.
The Promised Neverland is a bit of a different animal than most fantasy/sci fi Shounen manga: instead of endless powerups or random events, the story is about slowly but surely uncovering the truth about the world from which the kids have been sheltered. As such it is a bit of a slow burn but the constant reveals along with the focus on the kids using intellect and teamwork to outwit whatever besets them make it worth the read.Story: They have managed to survive all the way to the shelter promised by the mysterious William Minerva. But they find it is already inhabited - by an older escapee just like themselves! The problem is that he is hostile and does not want to share the small resources of the hideout bunker. The kids see it as an interim step to getting to the human world. But the stranger tells them they haven't faced true peril yet. Together, they create a bold plan to continue their quest.Thus far, we have had two arcs in the Promised Neverland: discovering their situation/plotting their escape, and then surviving the journey to the promised safe house. I thought this third arc would involve exploring the safe house and then deciding what to do next eventually. However, the story moves quite quickly and it is clear this third arc will be about reaching the next safe house promised by Minerva.We don't learn anything new about Minerva other than that he appeared to have set all this up years ago. But I also find it interesting that he left the 'pens' among many of the 'farms', to be found and then used to escape. Mysteries in the story currently involve the "poachers" as well as what happened to the strangers' colleagues who all perished years ago.In all, I am still very much enjoying this manga. I especially like that the plot pivots on the intelligence of the main characters and not random deus ex machina events or power ups. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.
