I am writing this from a perspective of someone who paints and wants to learn more about Bob and his paintings/technique. This book has all of that (it's mostly about his painting, not a ton about him.. but I've heard he was a private person). Beautiful colors. For some of the paintings it has little pictures of his process to get to that final result.
This was a Christmas present for my granddaughter. She wanted it and I bought it and she was thrilledel.
I’m giving this 4 stars because the book itself is really great, but only using it as a conversation piece for a bob Ross lover. But in the box, not sure if that is a flea or a tick (in the picture) but it looked like it had its head buried between the pages. Very unsettling to know bugs are being shipped to my house.
Of course Bob Ross gets 5 stars! His paintings are so peaceful and inspiring. The book is a must for anyone who grew up watching Bob paint his masterpieces on TV on Saturday mornings!
My husband loves to paint and likes to watch Bob Ross reruns. He loved this book.

I gave this book as a gift to someone who is an artist and a fan of Bob Ross and he loved it.
This particular book is a collector's item now. You can still get Mr. Ross' other books in the series, but not this one. As time went by his books got better with instructions on how to paint the pictures that are inside, but to have the complete set was quite a happy surprise for me. Thank you amazon.com for having so many of the things I have a hard time finding. Even though it was used, it was in great condition.

I was on the hunt for some Thanksgiving books for my 2 year old son and decided to give this one a try. I had not purchased any of the "Biscuit" books yet so we were both new to this series. My son was pretty enthusiastic about reading this book each night and I really enjoyed the story too. It takes you through a pretty "typical" Thanksgiving day (baking a pie, spending the day Grandma & Grandpa, etc.) and it was fun to use this book to help teach him about Thanksgiving. He is really into lift flap books so that added touch kept him pretty engaged. I am looking forward to bringing it back out to share with him again next November!
