I also own the 5th Ed., and can say that this is a must-have for its inclusion of the MMPI-2-RF, PAI, MCMI-IV, and NEO. Very useful, and for some reason it made me feel better that it is quite a bit thicker than the 5th Ed. I guess it's the fact that I'm a few months out of grad school and already buying the new editions of previously required texts. Being current was nice while it lasted...
This book is a must have for learning assessment. It is easy to read, and easy to understand. In fact, when the authors broaches a topic that requires the use of a great deal of technical language, the authors give you fair warning, then direct you to another section to read and brush up on, so you can better understand the technical language they are about to present. I've never seen the WAIS IV discussed so clearly and eloquently.
It is a great book using it everyday in class it helps me to understand the assessment process. Thanks

I would skip this book. I have a son in cub scouts, and the cub scout book tells soo much MORE than this one does. I didn't find the info valuable. I thought it would give my kids activities to do, like games to play, scavenger hunt ideas/ things to look for, activities to do around the fire etc. Im trying to bring my family together and keep them engaged. I honestly cannot believe this book was published. Sorry.
Truth is I wish I had time to do these activities ;( don't know when I will but at least we can have fun planning them together.
Gave it to our 9 year old grandson, Ryan, and he was so excited at the activities. His dad is taking him camping and is planning all their activities from the book.

Stasiowski's 'Architect's Essentials of Winning Proposals' has some useful pieces of advice for readers who already know how to write an architectural proposal, but the text is not helpful for those who lack such knowledge. The main problem is lack of examples. He does present a few pertinent examples - the two cover letters (one good, one bad)- that illustrate the points he is making about cover letter. But these examples are the exception. True, the detailed proposals which are his subject are likely to be quite long and that may prohibit the inclusion of full samples of a resume - one of the elements of a proposal. But surely he could have given partial examples longer that a couple of lines. From a whole chapter on resumes he allocates about 10 lines of example sentences.Thus the book is somewhat of a disappointment for someone coming to the subject for the first time. It is unfortunate because the literature offering advice on the topic is very sparse indeed.
